So we have had a CRAZY very eventful week here at the howard household. Sunday night I started to feel bad and realized Monday morning I had mastitis (breast infection). In addition to that Jersey didn't seem to be feeling well either so both her and I went to the doctor Monday afternoon. I got an antibiotic for myself and they said Jersey just had to wait it out because it was a virus and there's nothing you can do for a virus. She also said it was going to get worse before it got better, boy she wasn't kidding!
Tuesday afternoon Jersey was coughing a lot and having a hard time breathing, she couldn't even get herself to sleep. Also, Ryan or I couldn't comfort her, which is odd for her so I took her to the ER. Ryan was at the track with Carson and Chas and Michelle watched Jace for me. They gave her a breathing treatment after they assessed her and it helped, but not enough. We were there for about 3 hours at which point they determined she had RSV and Pneumonia. Well Ryan was there at that point and we pretty much cried like babies. You hate to see your kids struggling. They got Jersey all set up to go to the hospital, she didn't even cry when they gave her the IV! I rode with her in the ambulance and Ryan met us there. We got to the hospital at about 11:30pm
They wouldn't let me feed her for the first 24 hours so I had to pump bottles for her. Eventually she got to eat so this is me giving her a bottle.

Jersey was on about 45% oxygen when we got there and in a few days they slowly weened her off of all the machines she was hooked up to.

I think when your a parent you're aloud to brag about your kids right? Well everyone at the hospital just thought Jersey was gorgeous, and I agree!

These were my sleeping quarters.

Jersey ready to come home!

Jersey and her very happy (tired, emotionally drained, tired, physically drained, tired, needs a shower, did I mention tired) mommy
