October 23, 2006

Today would be the 2nd birthday of Drake and Dax. Some people think it gets easier with time, but it doesn't, you just learn better coping skills. ( I obviously have a long way to go)
This will always be hard time of the year for us and I wanted to say thanks to those that have brought flowers, baked goods, and have sent their thoughts and love our way.

Thumb Sucker?

We might have a thumb sucker on our hands, any suggestions? Do you like how his gut is hanging out of his shirt too, that is only cute when your under 18 months old.

The Howard's Go Camping

We went camping with 6 other families over the weekend and we all had a ton of fun. The first thing Jace did was poop up the back, because as we know he likes to make his mark. The other "funny" thing that happened within the first 30 minutes of our arrival was that Chas peed in his pants, TWICE!!! I asked him why he didn't just go on a tree and he said "I didn't know which one to go on". This coming from a boy who will go in the backyard just to pee. Apparently we can't give him too many choices of trees or we're just asking for an accident! This was our group shot at the Lake...
Eating smores in always fun...I just eat the chocolate. The boys loved being dirty and taking little hikes in the forest.
As always we travel in style...
Jace did a great job and he's a cute camper!!

Jace's Blessing

When I say that I've been dreaming of this day for almost two years, I'm not exaggerating. Being able to bless a healthy new baby boy was a great feeling. It was very emotional for me because after the twins passed away I sometimes thought that blessing a new healthy baby would never come, I'm so happy that I was wrong! I miss Drake and Dax terribly, but Jace has helped us to keep moving forward and have faith in Heavenly Father's plan.

Don't Ryan and Mike look alike? (Minus the facial hair obviously)

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Ryan turned 33 yesterday, and so we had some cupcakes... And went to the Dodgers D-Backs game.

My mom sent all the boys Dodgers t-shirts, and since they were playing I felt we should wear the shirts. Some people did make some comments, but since our kids were so cute they were't too harsh on us for supporting the Dodgers. I just go for the cotton candy, so I don't care what shirt you wear.

Hope you had a fun Birthday Ryan!!!

Knotts Berry Farm

Ryan's company had their annual picnic at Knotts Berry Farm this year and the kids had a ton of fun. I will say that I actually missed the DRY Arizona heat compared to how sticky I was in Cali.

The boys loved all the rides
Ian and Carson... obviously their mother's have good fashion sense!
And the best part of the whole trip for me was this Funnel Cake!!!!! I can't even remember how long it had been since I had one, and it was worth every calorie. Yummy We actually ate so much crap that day that Carson threw up on the way home, that's when you know you had a good time. And of course Jace didn't want to leave the park until he made his mark...LOL

Gotta love family vacations!

Chunky Monkey!

At 1 month Jace weighed a little over 11 lbs, and now at 2 months he weighs 14 lbs and 13oz! Chocolate milk is always going to put the pounds on you!
